We’re super stoked for the upcoming mini-tour w/Off With Their Heads, a fucking rad band also from Minneapolis.  We’ve got some great shows lined up with the likes of Latterman, Lemuria, Toys that Kill, Tiltwheel and Dan Padilla.  It all culminates with THE FEST in Gainesville which will rock.

The July tour was awesome – we met a ton of cool people, like Yoshi in Philly, and played with a bunch of great bands like the Unlovables, Basement Black and Down in the Dumps – everyone in NYC was super rad.  Nate’s planning on doing a tour blog when I finally burn the photos to disc…

So what’s next release-wise?

First up will be “Part of the Problem”, a J Church tune for the NO IDEA benefit for Lance.  TONS of sweet bands are going to be on this, it should rock hard.

Secondly, we’re hard at work on the upcoming unnamed LP.  Most of the tunes are written, we just need some refining, lyrics, and are in search of a label to put the shit out.  I’m stoked, it should crush the EP.  Alright.

ALSO – we’re looking for shows in/around the Twin Cities so get in touch if you’re booking a show. Yeah.

Recording Update

Originally posted 2/25/06 on Myspace

Hey-

Just wanted to give a quick update on the recording of the EP. So far, it’s shaping up to be much darker and more introspective than the demo, as we boldly broaden our musical horizons and stake out exciting new melodic territory.

Just kidding. It’s the same old shit pretty much. But so far, it sounds pretty good! We recorded the drums and bass at the Terrarium a couple weeks ago and now we’re just adding guitar and vocals at home. We’re going back to the Terrarium to mix everything at some point relatively soon. So, look for it to be out at some point in late March or early April, maybe a little bit later depending on how long stuff takes.

Here’s the tentative track listing; a couple of the titles might change:

Bender
Uptown Sleep Solution
Sun Belt Scars
In Line
Wide Awake on Lake Street
Columbia Lows
River City Blackout

Plus a hidden song. Well, it won’t really be hidden since I’m telling you about it, and it’s not very hard to find hidden stuff on a CD anyway. But still. Also, River City Blackout is not the same River City Blackout that was on the demo; we just re-used the title.

Cool, that’s all for now

Fuck yeah. We are totally ruling the “Doom/Stoner Metal” chart on Audiri.com.

Check it out:

7 songs in the top 20! All of you other Doom/Stoner bands better watch the fuck out cuz we’re going to get even more stoned and, uh, more…. doom-y.

Recording Update / T-shirts Now Available

Is there a gas station in your town that you’ve always wanted to check out, but were never able to because you were naked and they have a sign that says “no shirt, no shoes, no service”? Well, you’ll still have to find a pair of shoes yourself, but we can help out on the t-shirt part.

Yep, the agonizing wait is over— Banner Pilot t-shirts are now available. They’re a stylish tan color and come in four different sizes. And if you buy one, you’ll get a free sticker or button, and a free zine! What the fuck are you waiting for?

In other news, we’ll be recording a 7 song EP during the first half of February, and putting it out sometime in March. It’ll have Uptown Sleep Solution and Columbia Lows from the demo, and five new tunes, some of which you’ve probably heard if you’ve caught us live yet. As mentioned previously, it will also have real drums. Yup.

After the EP will be a full album. We’ve written about half of it at this point, so hopefully we’ll be able to get that one out sometime in 2006 as well.

cool, that’s it for now
